The 5 best games for iPhone and iPad this week – August 18th

Well, would you look at that. We’ve all made it to Friday. I’m proud of us. Especially you. Yeah, that’s right, you. You know what I’m talking about. That thing? You’ve done real well this week, and I reckon next week is going to be even better for you.

But if you want a mobile video game to set up next week for you, which one should you choose? Well, I say, why choose one when you can choose five? These five in fact. The five best games that came out on the App Store this week.

You can click on the emboldened names of the games below to grab them from the App Store. And if you think I’ve missed anything, make sure you stick your own suggestions in the comments at the bottom of the article. I’ll definitely read them.

Meshi Quest: Five-star Kitchen

A game about serving sushi. Well, that’s what it’s ostensibly about. It’s actually about getting really, really stressed and concerned and then messing everything up and ruining your fledgling restaurant empire. It’s a cooking-sim from Square Enix, and it’s actually really, really good.

The best games on sale for iPhone and iPad right now – August 16th

Hello there. It’s Wednesday. So that’s probably good. Especially if you like the days of the week. I don’t like them. They are mean to me. I have to do things on them. What a life. What a silly, silly life.

Anyway, Wednesday is when we round up the best games that are on sale on the App Store at the moment. It’s a time-honoured tradition, and I’m not going to stop now just because people are screaming at me to get out of the building because it’s on fire.

As usual you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to download them from the App Store. And if you spot any exquisite deals that I might have missed, feel free to chuck them in the comments at the bottom of the article.

Tsuro – Free

A slick and polished board game adaptation that’s all about leading dragons around. It looks lovely, it plays brilliantly, and did I mention that it’s full of dragons? I hope I did, because that’s one of the game’s selling points. Or not selling. Because it’s free right now.

The 5 best games for iPhone and iPad this week – August 10th

Friday is here. Can you keep a secret? I’m actually up a mountain somewhere. But thanks to the magic of technology, I’m still able to regale you with with very best games that have come out on the App Store this week.

Because that’s what we do on Friday here at AppSpy. We cut through the nonsense and make sure you know the five games you should be playing this week. And it’s been a pretty damn good week, all told.

As usual you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to go to the App Store and grab them. Oh, and if you think we’ve missed something, feel free to stick it in the comments all the way down at the bottom of the article. Right then, onwards and upwards.

Titanfall: Assault

A brilliant mobile MOBA with plenty of intelligent RTS additions. Lay down cards representing your troops, call forth the power of enormous titans, and generally have a lovely old time. It’s like Clash Royale for people who like games, and it’s definitely worth checking out.

The best games on sale for iPhone and iPad right now – August 9th

Well, would you look at that. It’s finally stopped raining. Again, this probably doesn’t have any bearing on your existence if you don’t live near me, but the sun is out again and I can feel the first soft caresses of autumn rolling in the window. This is a good thing. Especially if, like me, you have the constitution of a seal.

With that in mind, or more likely, with none of that in mind, it’s time to round up the best games on sale on the App Store right now. There are some pretty good games on the list this week, although it took me a while to find them, because they all went on sale earlier in the week. But I persevered, for you.

As per, you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to download them. And if you think I’ve missed anything, feel free to put your suggestions in the comments at the bottom of the article. I know you won’t, but I have to ask.

Her Story – £2.99 / $ 2.99

If you haven’t played Her Story yet, then shame on you. It’s one of the finest games on the App Store, if not all of the stores all around the world. A clever narrative about death weaves itself around a series of interview segments. You push the interviews on, searching for key words. It’s super smart, utterly enthralling, and you really should play it.

The 5 best games for iPhone and iPad this week – August 4th

Oh look, Friday is here. Hello Friday. How are you? Eating all your greens? What’s that? You’re already drunk. Well you should be careful, you don’t want a reputation as a booze hound. No, don’t stick that smashed glass in my face. NO! STOP!

While I wait for the ambulance of the weekend, I suppose I’ll write up the five bests games that came out on mobile this week. It’s been an alright week if you like gaming on the go, although I doubt it’ll go down in history. Because, well, that would be ridiculous.

Anyway, you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to download them from the App Store. And if you’ve got any games you think should be included on the list, stick them in the comments below.

Tiny Defense 2

A side-on tower defence sequel with a few tricks up its sleeve. It’s not revolutionary, but if you’re a fan of the genre you’re going to enjoy everything the game has to offer. It’s well put together, there’s a lot to sink your teeth into, and you’ll have a smile on your face for most of the time you’re playing.
