How do you feel about giant robots punching the living robo-snot out of each other? You’re into it? Cool, then you’re probably going to love Transformers: Forged to Fight. It’s a one on one brawler featuring Autobots and Decepticons from various different time-lines.
But what if you want to be the best robo-battler the world has ever seen? Well you’re going to need some sort of guide to help you out. Possibly a guide split into a number of different parts. Like this one.
Today we’re going to look at the basics of the gameplay, to make sure you’re off to a good start. Come back tomorrow and we’ll look into some of the slightly more confusing free to play aspects of the game.
Punch, big punch, block
The interesting bits of the game involve two giant robots beating lumps of metal off each other. The controls are pretty simple, but it’s worth going over them.
You can tap the screen when you’re close to an enemy to throw out a punch. Multiple taps chain together combos. Tapping when you’re some distance away will fire your gun.
Swiping towards your foe when you’re next to them will perform a heavy attack. Pressing on the screen lets you use a special move to smash up blocks, which is important. Tapping on your own bot makes them block.
Swiping backwards dodges attacks and puts some distance between you and your foe. Swiping forwards when there’s a gap moves you towards the enemy.
