Fire Emblem: Heroes guide – Part four – Challenges, friends, and training

In this part of our Fire Emblem: Heroes guide we’re going to have a look at how you can get the most out of every play session, avoiding IAPs in the process.

The best idea is to focus on gathering resources, toughening up your team, and hitting the challenges. We’re going to break that down for you in slightly more complex chunks though.

What are the challenges?

It’s a good idea to check the challenges and quests regularly so you know what you’re aiming for. The game is fun to play whatever you’re doing, but if you know you’re working towards a reward then it’s even more worthwhile.

You can check these on the home screen. And when you’ve completed them you’ll be able to collect your rewards from there too. There are other quests that pop up from time to time and if you complete these you’ll get the rewards sent to your inbox.

Make friends

One thing you might not have noticed on the home screen is that you’ll get visitors. These come from the friends you make in the PvP section of the game. So make sure you send friend requests after a fight.

The visitors will bring you gifts. And you’ll do the same to other players. Tap a visitor and you’ll get the reward. Sometimes your own charac…

Mobiles are an entirely social tool. You’re constantly receiving calls, texts, messenger messages, and a whole host of other irritating pop-ups that cover your beautiful wallpaper. So why, then, don’t more mobile games contain PvP so we can play against our friends?

Well, Ubisoft have got the message and have updated the, quite frankly, awesome Trials Frontier with a new PvP mode that allows you to do just that. Check out the trailer below for a look at the new mode in action.

Hands-on with Pac-Man Friends, the game of balance, precision, and wakka wakka wakka

The little yellow disc is back for another mobile instalment.

This time you’ll be tilting the Man of Pac about different maze environments, collecting Pac-Dots to open the door at the end, and escape with your pals in tow.

Each of your new allies has different properties that makes them unique. One’s invisible, for example, and can’t be hurt by the ghosts that are looking to ruin your Pac-Day.

From what I’ve played so far, it’s not too bad, with one of my larger concerns being the plain art that fails to capture Pac-Man at his best.
