Everything you need to know about Shadow Fight 3 for iPhone and iPad

Okay, it’s Thursday, so that means that it’s time for the Thursday find. Except I’ve gone and changed the name of it, because quite frankly The Thursday Find is one of the worst possible SEO titles that I’ve ever heard for anything. I’m so sorry I’ve let you all down like this.

Anyway, the format of the content is going to be basically the same. I’m going to pick a game, write some stuff about it, and give you a link to download it. It’s pretty smart, right? It’s just the name that has changed, so don’t you worry too much, regular reader.

So yeah, click on the emboldened name of the game below to download it. And if you’ve got your own experiences to share, feel free to stick them in the comments section all the way down at the bottom of the article. Er, I think that covers everything. Tally ho!

Shadow Fight 3

Shadow Fight 3 is the latest in the Shadow Fight series, as you could probably tell from the name. It’s a one on one fighter with big weapons, and a wonderful graphical style. Oh, and it’s also an awful lot of fun to play.

What is it?

Like I say, it’s a one on one brawler. You’re building up a character, learning the ropes, and following a story mode that sees you kicking the teeth out of a series of bad guys. Well, more often than not you’re actually cutting the teeth out of them. Because you’ve got a big sword.…

The best games on sale for iPhone and iPad right now – November 15th

Wednesday has snuck up on us like some sort of big sneaky day. I don’t know, I’ve only had one coffee so far today and quite frankly that is far from enough. I’m still bashing out content for you though, so don’t complain too much.

With it being Wednesday, it’s time to round up the very best games that are on sale on the App Store right now. And I’ll tell you what, there are some real doozies going cheap this week. In fact, I’m pretty sure there’s something for everyone. Sort of.

The 5 best games for iPhone and iPad this week – November 10th

Oh thank whoever you like to thank for things, it’s the end of the week. We can all curl up for two days and not have to face the horrors of being a grown up or having to put trousers on. What a delight. What a fine gift from our capitalist overlords.

But before we slink away to the safety and comfort of our respective blanket forts, there’s time for one more chunk of content. And as it’s Friday that means that it’s time to round up the best games that have landed on the App Store this week.

As usual you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to download them. And if there’s anything you think I’ve missed, feel free to stick your own suggestions in the comments all the way down at the bottom of the article.

Starman

A wonderfully evocative adventure. It looks gorgeous, presented in slick black and white, and it plays brilliantly. Each level is essentially a puzzle to figure out. There’s an intriguing story here as well, and it’s well worth sticking with the game all the way to the end.

Everything you need to know about South Park: Phone Destroyer for iPhone and iPad

Well, Thursday has rolled around, and the big release this week is South Park: Phone Destroyer. It’s not your typical free to play tie-in game though, it’s actually a pretty impressive card scrapper with some nice ideas.

Which made me think that I should probably do something telling you everything you need to know about the game. After all, that’s definitely the sort of thing that someone might Google, getting me them sweet, sweet SEO hits and what not.

You can click on the emboldened name of the game below to download it. And if you’ve got any questions you want answered, feel free to chuck them in the comments section at the bottom of the article and we’ll do our best to answer it with our brain powers.

South Park: Phone Destroyer

What is it?

The game takes a lot of ideas from Clash Royale, but then adds its own South Park twist. You’re dropping cards onto a playing field in order to beat back a bunch of enemies. There’s an energy system, and every card you play costs a set amount of energy.

Of course, the energy replenishes over time. And the cards you can play are on a rotation system. You can build your deck with new cards as you get deeper into the game, and there are a number of upgrade systems that let you strengthen the characters that you’ve collected.

Is it funny

The best games on sale for iPhone and iPad right now – November 8th

Look out of your window. You see that grey fuzz? That’s Wednesday that is. It’s come to get you, to claim you for its own. You’re going to be dragged kicking and screaming to the Wednesday cave whether you like it or not.

Braveland – 99p / 99c

A slick and entertaining turn-based RPG that peels away a lot of the fluff from the genre and leaves you with an exciting experience that’s the perfect fit for mobile. There’s a lot of fun to be sucked out of this one, especially if you’re a fan of the genre. If you’re not, well, maybe leave it be.

The 5 best games for iPhone and iPad this week – October 27th

Oh well it’s Friday. Another week lost to the rampant march of time. Have you achieved all the things you wanted to? Have you become a useful member of the work force? Have you sat around in your pants a lot wondering what you’re doing with your life? Probably that last one if you’re anything like me.

Whatever you have or haven’t done, Friday is when we round up the best games that have come out on the App Store this week. It’s just something we like to do, we’re not contractually obliged to do it or anything. It’s just a bit of a giggle.

As usual you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to download them from the App Store. And if you think we’ve missed anything feel free to dump your own suggestions in the cess pool at the bottom of the content that we like to call the comments section.

Highwind

A shooter that takes the shooter apart, then lets you play around with the different parts. It’s pretty smart, it’s pretty slick, and it’s got a load of decent ideas floating around within its little blasts of blasting. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely worth checking out.

The 5 best games for iPhone and iPad this week – November 3rd

It’s Friday, and when it’s Friday we like to round up the best games that have come out on the App Store this week. So guess what? That’s exactly what we’re going to do. No messing about here today.

If you want to download any of our selection, you can click on the emboldened names of the games below. And if you think we’ve missed anything out, feel free to let us know in the comments section at the bottom of the article.

Final Fantasy Dimensions 2

A neat FF game that sits somewhere between Squeenix’s mobile output and a fully fledged title. It’s a lot of fun, and it cuts back on a lot of the wandering around that some people find off putting about the series. It’s full of retro charm, interesting characters, and plenty of scraps to sink your teeth into.

Runic Rampage

You’re a dwarf. A very angry dwarf. And you’ve got a big hammer. Your job is to stomp around tight levels, mashing bad monsters to bits. It’s a simple set up, but the crunching combat and giant splurges of gore are pretty special to behold. An RPG levelling system lets you tailor your character to how you play as well.

The Thursday Find, our weekly iPhone and iPad recommendation – The Muscle Hustle

Okay it’s Thursday. Normally I’d kick things off with some epic preamble about literally nothing, but I don’t want to do that today. Instead I’m just going to hit that content hard.

And that content is the Thursday Find. Click the emboldened name of the game below and you’ll be able to download it from the App Store. Disagree? Add a comment in the comments section. Sweet. We are good to go.

The Muscle Hustle

What would happen if you crossed wrestling with marbles? Well a lot of people would say you were crazy. They’d say you’d gone too far. Others would call you a maverick, a visionary, the sort of person who could lead us into a golden age of mash ups between pretend sports and childhood pastimes.

Either way the end result would look a lot like The Muscle Hustle. It’s a game that sees you collecting a roster of wrestlers, training them up, then taking them to the ring to do battle. And it’s in that ring that the marble comparisons kick in.

You see, rather than grappling with your foes, you’re flicking your wrestlers into them. It’s a bit like Angry Birds, I suppose, but rather than destroying structures you’re trying to pound faces. And there are some interesting twists that add a layer of tactics to proceedings.

For example, your wrestlers have their own special moves that you trigger by smashing an ally into them…

Forgotten Memories: Alternate Realities – £2.99 / $ 2.99

It’s been a while since this one got a price cut, so if you’ve been on the fence about grabbing it now is the perfect time. Especially if you’re a fan of Silent Hill. This is a spooky, psychological survival horror game with plenty of frights and creepy mannequins. And for less than three quid you really can’t go wrong.

The best hints, tips, and tricks for Squashy Bug for iPhone and iPad

Squashy Bug, as you might be able to tell from the title, is a game about a Squashy Bug. You’re not trying to squash the squashy bug though, you’re trying to stop it from getting squashed. All the while attempting to increase your high score.

It’s a pretty simple thing, but there are a few tips and tricks that we’ve collated during our time with the game that are sure to push you even higher up the leaderboards. And since we’re all good eggs here at AppSpy, we figured it’d be a very good idea to share them with you.

If you’ve got your own hints that you’d like to share then feel free to hurl them into the comments section at the end of the article. And if you don’t, well that’s fine too. You’re still welcome to come and hang out here whenever you’d like.

The basics

There are two parts to the game. First you’re trying to avoid the feet that are crashing down all around you. Second you’re trying to collect the coins that pop up and drop them into the slot at the centre of the screen.

The controls are pretty easy. You press the left of the screen to move left and the right of the screen to move right. You’ll pick up coins automatically, and deposit them in the slot just by walking over it. Your main concentration should be on staying alive though.

Keep ahead of the feet

The best way to avoid the feet that are stomping onto the floor is to time your movements. When one f…
