The 5 best games for iPhone and iPad this week – November 17th

Well, the week is finally at an end. We had some laughs didn’t we? We had some giggles? I’m pretty sure I saw some people other there engaged in just a little bit of banter. Basically what I”m trying to say is that we’ve had a jolly old time.

But that jolly old time isn’t coming to an end just yet. We’ve got one last bit of content to throw in your face before old father time claims the week as his own. And since it’s Friday, it’s a round up of all the best games that came out on the App Store this week. I thought you’d be pleased.

Following the agreed format, you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to go and grab them from the App Store. Oh, and if you’ve played anything that we haven’t included, feel free to stick it in the comments at the bottom of the article. Thanks.

Shadow Fight 3

Do you like beating the living snot out of bad guys? Do you like super slick fighting games that twinkle and fizz thanks to the latest technological advancements? Er, do you like shadows? If you answered yes to most of those then you’re going to love Shadow Fight 3. It’s a super polished brawler and a great way to show what your slick new hardware can do.

Beat Street

Almost the antithesis of Shadow Fight 3. Whi…

The best games on sale for iPhone and iPad right now – November 15th

Wednesday has snuck up on us like some sort of big sneaky day. I don’t know, I’ve only had one coffee so far today and quite frankly that is far from enough. I’m still bashing out content for you though, so don’t complain too much.

With it being Wednesday, it’s time to round up the very best games that are on sale on the App Store right now. And I’ll tell you what, there are some real doozies going cheap this week. In fact, I’m pretty sure there’s something for everyone. Sort of.

As usual you can smash a click on the names of the games below if you want to be taken away to the App Store. And if you think there’s a game we should have included, but for some reason haven’t, feel free to correct our mistake in the comments section at the bottom of the page.

Dreii – £2.99 / $ 2.99

A clever physics puzzler that’s all about working together. You’ll be connected with other players around the world, and need to use their skills to solve some tricky challenges. It’s unique, it looks gorgeous, and if you haven’t given it a go yet it’s well worth picking up.

The 5 best games for iPhone and iPad this week – November 10th

Oh thank whoever you like to thank for things, it’s the end of the week. We can all curl up for two days and not have to face the horrors of being a grown up or having to put trousers on. What a delight. What a fine gift from our capitalist overlords.

But before we slink away to the safety and comfort of our respective blanket forts, there’s time for one more chunk of content. And as it’s Friday that means that it’s time to round up the best games that have landed on the App Store this week.

As usual you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to download them. And if there’s anything you think I’ve missed, feel free to stick your own suggestions in the comments all the way down at the bottom of the article.

Starman

A wonderfully evocative adventure. It looks gorgeous, presented in slick black and white, and it plays brilliantly. Each level is essentially a puzzle to figure out. There’s an intriguing story here as well, and it’s well worth sticking with the game all the way to the end.

The best games on sale for iPhone and iPad right now – November 8th

Look out of your window. You see that grey fuzz? That’s Wednesday that is. It’s come to get you, to claim you for its own. You’re going to be dragged kicking and screaming to the Wednesday cave whether you like it or not.

That said, there is one way to stop the inevitable from happening. You could buy yourself a cheap iOS game. And it just so happens that I’ve provided you with a list of the five best iOS games that are on sale at the moment. What a coincidence.

As usual you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to download them from the App Store. And if you’ve got your own suggestions of games that might keep Wednesday at bay, feel free to stick them in the comments section.

Braveland – 99p / 99c

A slick and entertaining turn-based RPG that peels away a lot of the fluff from the genre and leaves you with an exciting experience that’s the perfect fit for mobile. There’s a lot of fun to be sucked out of this one, especially if you’re a fan of the genre. If you’re not, well, maybe leave it be.

The 5 best games for iPhone and iPad this week – November 3rd

It’s Friday, and when it’s Friday we like to round up the best games that have come out on the App Store this week. So guess what? That’s exactly what we’re going to do. No messing about here today.

If you want to download any of our selection, you can click on the emboldened names of the games below. And if you think we’ve missed anything out, feel free to let us know in the comments section at the bottom of the article.

Final Fantasy Dimensions 2

A neat FF game that sits somewhere between Squeenix’s mobile output and a fully fledged title. It’s a lot of fun, and it cuts back on a lot of the wandering around that some people find off putting about the series. It’s full of retro charm, interesting characters, and plenty of scraps to sink your teeth into.

Runic Rampage

You’re a dwarf. A very angry dwarf. And you’ve got a big hammer. Your job is to stomp around tight levels, mashing bad monsters to bits. It’s a simple set up, but the crunching combat and giant splurges of gore are pretty special to behold. An RPG levelling system lets you tailor your character to how you play as well.

It’s been a while since this one got a price cut, so if you’ve been on the fence about grabbing it now is the perfect time. Especially if you’re a fan of Silent Hill. This is a spooky, psychological survival horror game with plenty of frights and creepy mannequins. And for less than three quid you really can’t go wrong.
